Our "We Love Wood" Family

My wife Cheryl, and myself, are collaborating 
artists in the fine art of wood turnery. I began 
turning 40+ years ago at the age of 13, and am     a founding member of the American Association of Wood Turners. Cheryl has worked with me  in our shop for the past 18 years. We are both 
Designer Craftsmen, and Juried Members of 
numerous Craftsmen's Guilds in several states. 
We have been doing art and craft shows for the 
past 20+ years, and have exhibited in 11 states. 
Our turnings have been featured in numerous 
Museums, Universities, and libraries 
over the years.

Our Craft

We have combined traditional spindle and 
face plate turning, and added a few 
unconventional methods of our own, to create 
our unique style of elliptical turnings. Our 
DECORATIVE TURNED CLOCKS and 
MUSIC BOXES are artistic and functional, as 
well as aesthetic. We also turn WOODEN 
WRITING INSTRUMENTS and 
ACCESSORIES to complement our display. 
We use only the finest domestic and exotic 
hardwoods to make our clocks, music boxes 
and accessories.

At the present time, we have 
three wonderful grandchildren 
Max, Mark, and Jacine. The 
boys, ages 6 & 7, already love to 
help in the shop, while Jacine at 8 
channels her creativity to dancing 
and her bear collection.

Our Sons

When our sons were very young, 
their father introduced them to the work shop and the lathe. 

Under his guidance their skill has progressed to the point where they are both accomplish- -ed wood workers and turners.

 Ralph Jr. and Eric are an intricate part of our overgrown hobby, known as .... 
          "WE LOVE WOOD".
